WOMAN ENTREPRENEURS AT THE INDIA INTERNATIONAL TRADE FAIR 2014 

The India International Trade Fair 2014 is one of the highlights in Delhi this winter.
This large scale event is a platform for showcasing trade and merchandise from all over the world. The theme of the event this year is ‘Woman Entrepreneurs‘, aimed at helping organisations integrate women welfare programme’s in different parts of the country. Women entrepreneurship will figure prominently in the display profiles of the State/UT pavilions.
With changing social norms and globalization, there has been more and more involvement of women in business. From home based business to running corporations, women have shown they have the capacity to run an enterprise on their own terms.
This fair will celebrate their business acumen and visitors will be able to interact with businesswomen and see how some of them have been able to play a critical role in sustainable, inclusive, job-led growth companies with development. Also, this fair provides a  platform to women SME exporters, entrepreneurs and investors.
Noted women entrepreneurs who have made a difference in respective fields will also be felicitated.
The event was inaugurated by the President of India, Shri. Pranab Mukherjee at Pragati Maidan.
One of the largest Trade fairs in Asia, this event will see more than 6,000 exhibitors and stalls that will facilitate investors and entrepreneurs of all kinds. Coprorates and entrepreneurs can come and interact with everyone here and develop their networking.
South Africa is the partner country while Thailand is the focus country.The focus state is Delhi.
Companies from private and public sector, States, Union Territories as well as central government ministries have put up their stalls at the fair. This fair will definitely be larger than before and will take forward the new Indian Prime Minister’s mantra ‘Make in India’.
Visitors will be able to see various cultural activities organized by each Indian state. There will be music, dance, ghazal nights, qawaalli nights, street plays and puppet shows.
Timings: 
Business Visitors: November 14-19
General Public: Till November 27
Time: 9.30 a.m. to  7.30 p.m
The entry to the fair will close at 5.30 p.m.
Tickets 
Ticket counters will be open at Gates 1 and 2 at the venue and will be open on weekdays between 9.30 a.m. and 4 p.m. and on Sunday/ holidays from 9.30 a.m. and 2 p.m
Try to choose a weekday to visit the Trade Fair since weekends can get very busy.
Tourists can also buy tickets from Customer Care centres at Metro Stations except Airport Express Line.
Tickets for business days will be available only from select stations. Tickets can only be purchased for that particular day.
Ticket price : 
  • Rs 400 for business visitors and Rs1,500 for multiple entry.
  • Rs50 on weekdays and Rs80 on weekends for the general public.
  • For children:
  • Weekdays: Rs30
  • Weekends: Rs50
  • Free entry for senior citizens and physically challenged
Tech savvy tourists can explore the fair with the help of a mobile app which gives users information about stalls, exhibitors and acts like a search engine.
