Here is the list of Aon's Best Employers 2017 India

In the glittering ceremony in Mumbai, 19 Best Employers in India were crowned winners. They came from diverse industries - Hospitality, Communications, Logistics, Consumer Goods among others. Check out the full list below.


Who makes a Best Employer? Aon believes that every organization has its unique journey to become a Best Employer. Aon Hewitt began the Best Employers research in Asia in 2001 to Provide insights into how organizations can create real competitive advantage through people; Explore what makes a workplace of choice; Identify a list of Best Employers in India & other geographies. To that disposition, a robust evaluation framework was created to identify the Best Employers.

Globally, the study is one of the most tenured annual workplace studies covering over 800,000 employees across 6,400 global organizations.

In honour of the winners, Aon organized a learning conference in the day which saw participation from the senior leaders from the corporate world. The evening’s crescendo was when the winners were finally revealed. There were 119 companies from 14 industries making it one of the most comprehensive studies in recent times. The Jury for 2017 comprised eminent business leaders and academicians including Leo Puri, Managing Director at UTI Asset Management Company, Dr. Omkar Goswami, Founder and Chairman at CERG Advisory, Chanda Kochhar, MD & CEO at ICICI Bank, Prof Vasanthi Srinivasan, IIM-Bangalore, and Sanjiv Mehta, CEO & MD at Hindustan Unilever Ltd.

The three companies which received special category awards are Essel Propack, E.I.D-Parry (India) and Tata Autocomp Systems Ltd. The Aon team also recognized the Global Best Employer 2017 at the event. The winners are Sodexo, Accor Hotels, Cinepolis India Pvt Ltd, and Marriott India Hotels Pvt Ltd.

The process is quite rigorous. An analysis is run on the inputs captured to measure the alignment between Intent-Design- Experience for all participating organizations. A shortlisted set is taken through an intense on-site audit to validate the details provided and look for innovative practices that truly differentiate these organizations. These details are normalized against Aon Hewitt Process Maturity framework and presented to an external panel of unbiased jury. The jury comprising corporate and academic community arrives at the final list of India Best Employers, with Aon Hewitt playing a facilitator role during this evaluation. Client names are masked during this process, and revealed to the Jury only post final selection.
